Betty Anne Latrace-Henderson
We all are inundated with requests to help raise funds for very worthy organizations but when I was approached by STARS to help them I felt I needed to help. I did not realize the number of families in Saskatchewan that have needed to use Stars. The vastness of our province is magnificent in many ways until you have a medical emergency and that is where STARS Air Ambulance has helped to fill this void. As one of STARS major fundraisers on August 24 2017 they are "capturing" 5 Saskatchewan residents for a day and asking us to help raise funds for the services they provide. Now I am the worst candidate to help with any trauma situation as I faint at the sight of blood! I am asking for your help ensuring that I am released without any medical trauma being witnessed by me. Any amount will help and anything over $10 a tax receipt is issued. You can go to my page and make your donation there. When you write a cheque the tax receipt will be issued directly from Stars Thank you
In 2000, after a successful first career as a teacher and then a retailer, Betty Anne Latrace-Henderson became president of her family’s business, Airline Hotels. At the time Airline Hotels owned one property. Betty Anne quickly made it two, and then, three, all the while strengthening the unique culture established by her parents. Associates embraced the growth and the culture of caring, respect and hard work. Today, Airline owns seven hotels in three provinces and employs over 800 associates.
In 2009, PROFIT magazine named Betty Anne Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneur and in 2010 Ernst and Young recognized her as Entrepreneur of the Year, Prairie Region. In 2011 she received the PROFIT Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Airline Hotels was named one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Youth.
At Airline Hotels, Betty Anne is a dear friend and a leader to all. She believes the company has the responsibility to help every associate become the best person they can be, giving them the ability to influence their work, homes and communities. To assist that growth, Airline Hotels invests significantly in personal development for every associate—from Front Desk Clerk to Vice President. As Betty Anne says, “Once people land in Airline’s supportive environment they discover they can fly. We’re all meant to fly.”
