Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends,
I have been a supporter of STARS for many years. Likely many of you have been as well. They provide a vital service that we all hope we never need, but that everyone realizes could be a lifesaver for any of us. Over 36,000 missions flown over 32 years (roughly eight missions per day) demonstrates the critical need. I personally have two close friends that have made a trip in the helicopter, fortunately both with excellent outcomes. You would be hard pressed to find anyone in your circle that hasn’t been touched by STARS.
It takes a lot of money to keep STARS in the skies. They depend heavily on fundraising and donations, to the tune of millions of dollars per year. Not only are helicopters expensive to fly, but there is a huge ground support network of doctors, nurses, dispatchers and six bases across the prairies to operate.
On September 29th, I am thrilled and honored to participate in STARS’ “CEO Rescue in the Rockies” fundraising event. My goal is to raise at least $50,000. I am half way there because I have kicked it off with a $25,000 donation that I hope will be matched by all of you. Beyond $50,000, I will continue to match all funds donated, so your generosity will have double the impact.
This is a one-time request from me so please think big. All donations are welcome but I ask you to consider the value of the service being supported, and the doubling effect of my matching funds. Of course, all donations are receipted and tax deductible.
Please rescue me from the mountain! If you would prefer that I stay out there, double your donation and I will walk home.
Thank you in advance for your support!
PS. My indispensable piece of survival gear will be my Leatherman pocket tool, and my cell phone of course!
